Next Generation of Financial Innovation

Written on July 14, 2014 by Campus Life in Professional

Partnering with industry experts and bringing their experience closer to the IE Finance community has been one of the core objectives of IE Capital Markets Club over the years. This includes not only discussion of the markets related updates but also exploring the trends that could define the fabric of finance in the coming days.

On June 17, 2014, the club organized “Next Generation of Financial Innovation” held at MM 403, María de Molina 31, with students across all Masters’ programs (MBA / MiM / MiF / MiAF) at IE. As the key-note speaker, we invited Dieter Staib, Partner at Oliver Wyman, Madrid Office.

Dieter has more than 20 years’ experience in Management Consulting helping clients to increase sales effectiveness and productivity and redesign/ transform network operations to enhance efficiency by designing multichannel sales & service and customer experience models typically adding >20% productivity gains to clients. He is also an entrepreneur, business angel & advisor to startups in the social media, B2B, business intelligence, edutainment, eGames and ePublishing spaces.

Dieter had thought-provoking ideas about how the landscape in the financial industry can change in a very short period of time. Particularly in the banking industry, the potential impact of shadow banking in the form of financing thorough social networking platforms are of utmost importance.

As always, please keep following our Facebook Page to stay updated about future events organized by IE Capital Markets Club.
