IE Dance Club 2014

Written on January 2, 2015 by Campus Life in Sports

danceclubpostCalling on the new intakers to keep the fire alive in one of the most active student run clubs at IE. The IE Dance Club was started November of last year to bridge the gap between all global forms of dance, and what an event full year it has been!!

Every Tuesday night we would get together to learn a different style of dance. Which after long days of stressful studying and group work was a much welcome and much needed stress reliever. We had covered dances ranging from the smooth Latin grooves of Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Tango and samba to the more body intensive ones such as Hip-Hop, Breaking, Popping and Locking.

The MBA Tournaments (MBAT) in Paris was definitely a highly of the club where we competed in the Salsa competitions. 8 Members of the club put on a show stopping salsa performance filled with acrobatic lifts, flips and tricks that won us the second place position.

Second place at the MBAT salsa competition.

The IE Dance Club, a club by dancers, for dancers and any one who has an interest in learning something new. A club where you can meet great people, make new amazing friends and a place where you can just let out some stress through dance.

The cure to all ailments is Dance!
