Learn a Cuisine with the IE Partners Club

Written on December 2, 2015 by Campus Life in Geographic, Social

LEARN A CUISINEIE partners club successfully organized the event: “Learn a Cuisine”. So, how did the club arrive with this idea? Well, we wanted to share experiences and cultures from our diverse countries with other members of our big IE family community. Food is something which defines a country’s culture and also unites people across borders, so we thought of organizing an event where we could learn from each other and also have a good time. This event was the first of many events of this series.

We cut the ribbon by learning a dish from India – “Chole(Chickpeas) Masala and Naan”. The event was organized at an IE´s partner residence and it started with an introduction from an Indian native who explained the ingredients used in the recipe and also showed everyone how to make Chole masala and Naan (Typical bread from India). After that everyone was invited to practice the newly learned skill by each making a Naan. In the end we had enough naans for everybody and had great time-sharing a meal with each other.

Stay tuned and look out for next “Learn A Cuisine” event in the club’s website. Come, learn and share your expertise and cuisine with all of us!
