14451161814_7898675a5a_kGlobal Village is a multicultural event where participants showcase the best of their countries’ cuisine, culture, arts and craft, traditions and tourism.  This year, we will celebrate Global Village on June 11.

We wanted to give members of IE Community a chance to capture the spirit of Global Village by creating a new logo for the event. The selected winner will be given a free ticket to Global Village!  Please click here for the logo brief.  Submissions are due on April 30.  The winner will be notified on May 15.  Please e-mail all logo proposals with a short description of your design to Marana.Bayonon@student.ie.edu .

What is Global Village?

Global Village is a fair organized by IE students in collaboration with the school’s administrative team whose aim is to showcase the diversity that thrives on campus everyday by having food, performances and arts and crafts in the same place for all the attendees to enjoy.

What was last year’s Global Village logo and what are we looking to change?

The logo should capture the core values of IE and the spirit of Global Village!  Your proposed logo should celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of our student body with a focus on collaboration.  Last year’s logo can be seen below.

Don’t throw it away, it can be used another way

Written on March 5, 2015 by Campus Life in Professional

recyclingThere is nothing more liberating than disposing the stacks of print on demand course packs at the end of each term!  But let’s all make sure to do it in a responsible way!

From Tuesday, March 10th until the 17th, recycling bins will be available in the launch pad at MM31 for print on demand and other paper recycling.  A box per section will be available so let’s make this a friendly competition among the IMBA and other Master’s programs. Which section will come out on top as IE’s most environmentally friendly section!

DID YOU KNOW???

Recycling one tonne of paper saves up to 31 trees, 4,000 kWh of energy, 1.7 barrels (270 litres) of oil, 10.2 million Btu’s of energy, 26,000 litres of water and 3.5 cubic metres of landfill space.
