For the eight year, the IE Social Responsibility Forum (SRF) was successfully organized by the students of the IE Net Impact Club. This year’s theme, “Social Means Business”, inspired the more than 300 attendees to explore the many ways that business is helping create a sustainable and positive impact in the world. Attendees to the forum included professionals, business school students, IE Staff, IE Alumni, and IE Students. More than 70 speakers from around the world came to Madrid to network and move the discussion forward on the different topics covered in 19 different panel discussions held throughout the two day event. Nicolas Marang, Director of International Coordination CSR & Sustainability at L’Oréal opened the event as keynote speaker. Nicolas unveiled for the first time to the public “Sharing Beauty with All”, L’Oréal’s new sustainability plan.
For the first year, the SRF held an open invitation to everyone from the IE community to nominate an IE Alumni who is making a difference in the world through their work. The first IE SRF Alumni Award was given to Max Oliva.
