IE Saudi Arabia Club Madrid Chapter at a glance

saudi arabia2IE Saudi Arabia Club Madrid Chapter was only established in February 2013 and has 5 members in its board. Shorty after its establishment the Club members organized a visit to the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Spain HH Prince Mansour bin Khalid with the dean of IE business School Santiago Íñiguez. During that visit the Dean and the Ambassador discussed the future plans of IE Business School and how to improve the cooperation.

Later in June, the Club cooperated with IE MENA office and Casa Arabe in meeting a small group of sophomore students from PSU´s College for Women from Saudi Arabia. The girls gave a presentation to IE students and faculty about there university and their experiences as young women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

IE Saudi Arabia Club also effectively participated in the Global Village. The club members were dressed in Saudi costumes and served local Saudi food to other students. They were also distributing publications in English and in Spanish about Saudi Arabia.

saudi arabia3On the first week of November 2013, IE Saudi Arabia Club and the Saudi Spanish Center of Islamic Economics and Finance organized a trip for 18 MBA students (9 guys and 9 girls) to Saudi Arabia. Students from Japan, Colombia, El Salvador, Switzerland, USA, Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Germany visited Saudi Arabia for the first time. You can read about this trip HERE

During the last week of November, IE Saudi Arabia Club president attended the IE business school board meeting cocktail. The activities of the club and the extracurricular activities were presented to several board members of the school.

The club is looking forward to extended its activities in 2014 with the new intake of Saudi students.
