After a small period of silence, the IR Club was brought back to life by students of the MIR 2013-2014.
It started off with a fundraising for the victims of the typhoon in the Philippines.
With a modest cookie-sale the IR-Club was able to raise €500, that was donated to the Organization of Doctors Without Borders.
The IR-club is grateful to all those generous sweet-tooths at IE.
Second, IE had the pleasure to receive Mrs. Hamutal Rogel-Fuchs, the spokesperson of the Israeli Embassy in Spain.
She certainly caught the audience’s attention with a very interesting and honest lecture on the situation in Israel today, especially the bright side of this country.
Finally, Karel Lannoo, the CEO of the Centre for European Policy Studies, held a very interesting conference of his upcoming book: “The Great Plumbing: From Northern Rock to Bankia”.
Mr. Lannoo managed to offer the students a clear view on the global financial crisis in 2008, the response by the European Union and especially how the EU-model should look like to avoid such crisis in the future.
The entire IR Club would like to thank all the participants, supporters, members, etc. that helped out and took part in these events!
