On a cloudy morning, Vignesh won the toss for IE and looking to make use of the conditions elected to bowl first. The bowlers backed up the decision and had MCC 3 down for only 37 runs on the board. Sumon, coming in at number 5 for MCC, rescued the team with a belligerent innings of 84 that contained 5 sixes and 8 boundaries. Helped with a 42 not out from Krishna, MCC ended with a competitive total of 218/9 off the 40 overs. Joel, Anshul and Ankit took 2 wickets each. IE started off the chase strongly. Uzair and Siddhant shared an opening stand of 52 runs. Once the stand was broken Vignesh and Mohit chipped in with 42 runs and 33 runs respectively. After fall of 3 quick wickets in the middle order Shaun took it up to himself to play till the end and take the team to victory.
