The last day of January saw members of IE Africa Club come together for a bonding session. With a whole year of events ahead, taking time to chat, socialize and agree on objectives was a good way to start the year. Further, the November 2014 IMBA intake had just started the MBA journey, and what a better way to make them feel at home, and share tips for the year ahead. The event incorporated the following:
• Brief introduction of members with ice-breaker games
• Brainstorming session where members proposed events for the year
• Participation by African students from Kellogg who were at IE on Exchange
• African cuisine from different countries, including Egusii and Fufu from Nigeria, Poulet PDG and Ndole from Cameroun
• Some rhythm and dancing to the African Beat
Â
This was not only an introduction to the club, but also a means to stir interest and participation, while bringing people together to network. With the Africa Get Together, the stage was set for the next grand event, the IE Africa Day.
