IE Partners Club January activities

Written on February 1, 2016 by Campus Life in Social

partnersIE partners club welcomed the New Year 2016 by conducting various exciting and fun events for partners as well as kids. Here is a short summary of those events.

There could not have been any better idea to celebrate than to cook Japanese Cuisine. So one of the partner who is from Japan taught everyone how to make a hand rolled sushi in an easy and doable way. The amazing part of the event was that the host of the event also showed different ways of making sushi by using different ingredients and then everyone present at the event made their own hand rolled sushi by picking their favorite ingredients. Everyone had an amazing time discussing about the Japanese culture and of course tasting the delicious sushi along with some traditional Japanese drinks.

We also conducted the first Lego session of this year.In this week, though there were not many of the kids present for the event but still few of them who were present utilized the entire time slot and lego boxes to create something unique.Using 3 boxes, they started to sort/categorize Lego block by color, shape, and type and then built a creature what kids like – a Minion and airplane. Sorting, classifying, and categorizing activities help children develop logical reasoning skills. Kids enjoyed and learned much in this session, too!

We look forward to continue with these kind of exciting and engaging activities for partners as well as kids and share our experiences with you all.
