Segovia Debate Club- MUN

Written on March 19, 2019 by Campus Life in Other Activities, Professional

In the next two weeks, the Debate Club have been preparing to attend two MUN conferences, WorldMUN hosted by Harvard in Madrid and GIMUN in Geneva. The two conferences are happening within days of each other, (WorldMUN 18th – 23rd March and GIMUN 23rd – 30th March) and two separate delegations are attending.

For WorldMUN we have a total of 11 delegates , including three from the Madrid Campus. For Geneva we have a total of 8 delegates and one chair all from the Segovia Campus.

All delegates have been preparing for the conference since January, attending 6 public speaking sessions as well as MUN training to go over what resolution writing is, how to write position papers etc.  Gratefully, the trip to both Madrid and Geneva is being funded by Campus Life, The School of Global and Public Affairs, as well as the Business School.

All the delegates are extremely excited for this opportunity where they are able to put into practice the different skills and knowledge gained in classrooms as we have a variety of International Relations, Business, Politics Law and Economics as well as dual degree students attending the conference. We hope for a good experience for all our delegates and are expecting amazing results from the conference.
