IE Golf Club goes Social

Written on June 5, 2014 by Campus Life in Social, Sports

golf1On Saturday May 24th the IE Golf Club together with the IE Charity Club has carried out a great initiative.

We have been spending an amazing afternoon with around 30 members of the Fundacion Sindrome de down de Madrid at the Canal sport center.

We were equipped with a team of teachers from Canal and some of the most skilled components of the Golf Club in order to teach some basic skills of golf to our new friends and, most importantly, to have fun.

It has been an incredible experience. These people, with a clearly difficult situation, have had so much fun in trying a new and also challenging sport such as golf. Moreover, they were feeling the warm welcoming of our club members.

The day has been perfect and the most important thing for us was seeing the happiness and the fun in the eyes of these unlucky guys.

After three hours of playing and some distance competition where the guys where having fun in playing against each other we ended up with a refreshing “bebida” to say hi and to fix the next meeting as soon as possible.

Marketing de Vanguardia en una categoría commodity

Written on June 5, 2014 by Campus Life in Professional

renovaOn May 13th, Lorenzo de Cárdenas, Marketing Director for Spain at Renova, shared with us how Renova reaches customers in a commodity category. He emphasized how the objective of the company was to transform people’s perceptions of an undifferentiated product in to a “different” one. In fact, this ‘sexiest paper on the earth’ category has received much attention among famous people. Beyoncé, for example, requests red toilet paper wherever she goes while British music producer Simon Cowell uses black paper in his bathroom, said Cárdenas. Additionally, he also mentioned that Renova’s toilet paper is now sold at deco stores and perfume shops, and is not anymore perceived only as a supermarket product.  To conclude the event, Lorenzo de Cárdenas gave the participants samples of Renova colorful products to take as souvenirs.
