Business Networking at the Spanish Embassy in Portugal
Written on February 18, 2014 by Campus Life in Social
Last January 28th, IE Portugal Club along with IE Spanish-Portuguese Speaking Countries Club co-organized jointly with the Portuguese-Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILE) a business networking event at the Spanish Embassy in Portugal.
The reception took place at the Official Residence of the Ambassador in Lisbon, who generously invited the IE Alumni community residing in Portugal, and other executives and businessmen with interests in the Iberian and the Spanish-Portuguese speaking markets, for a pleasant cocktail at Palácio de Palhavã.
The IE Spanish-Portuguese Speaking Countries Club puts forward joint projects and ventures, conferences and events that promote the strengthening of the strategic bonds and international trade between companies and businesses wherever Spanish and Portuguese are spoken as official languages, under the incomparable seal of the IE Business School community.
In the photo, from left to right: the Spanish Ambassador in Portugal, Eduardo Junco, the President of CCILE, Enrique Santos, the Dean of IE Business School, Santiago Iñiguez, IE former student, João Arrais and, speaking at the pulpit, IE current student, João Schmidt (Vice-President of IE Portugal Club and President of IE Spanish-Portuguese Speaking Countries Club).

IE BOTW on the roof top of the Hotel Puerta de America
Written on July 26, 2013 by Campus Life in Social
One of the best spots of seeing Madrid from the top is the roof of Hotel Puerta de America. So we decided to choose the venue as one of BOTW places for June, starting early in order to enjoy the sunset over the MADcity.
Students from different IE programs gathered there to enjoy the wide variety of cocktails at discounted prices, and the nice music surrounded.
Some students went to the CAPEA on the same day, the famous Spanish tradition. Some went home to change, some just came the way they were dressed, directly with the buses from the CAPEA event. The 5 star hotel citizens were a bit surprised while they were taking the elevator, but we are IE students… we like surprising! It was again a great night, lots of shouts of laughter, lots of new friends in different places on earth, lots of fun and getting together.
Thanks all of you for coming and making this great night happen.
